I'm having alot of fun with this game, have played each class enough to unlock ever gun and am now being the squad medic I have been since BF2.

Just hit rank 25 earlier this evening.
Will get one of those sigs you have chalky when their servers are back online.

My thoughts though, Conquest mode, dear god they need to remove that horn that sounds for the losing team in the last 10 points.
The game itself is great, but the things it depends on, such as the log in system etc aren't. Nearly every night around about the time the Americans starts to log on it will sometimes randomly kick you out and you cant get back on for sometimes near an hour.

Having bought all battlefield titles for pc, you can get some veteran points, which gives you a garand to use in game, or at least it SHOULD but I've only ever found one server that it has worked on.

Singleplayer was great, a Battlefield actually having a campaign is something new and I loved every second of it.

The game itself is a Resource hog, but you can understand why, the sound engine is FANTASTIC. gun shots echoing in the background are actually ones you or people around you have fired, unlike the old ambiant music you got in call of duty games.

Thanks for that - I'm downloading it at the moment to give it a go: it's also sparked me into playing BF2 again (I'd forgotten how good it is). Must run my own server here and see what patches can be run (the Forgotten Hope 2 WW2 patch is great).

Yeah what with feeling rough and kids I have not been on much.

Sound - thats the thing I forgot. I put it down to my crappy stock card that I have been using since I blew my XFI up last year. Rifle sounds etc are great, speech in the SP campaign is soso. But the game does realise this and puts up subtitles if it runs out of memory. I also only have 2 gig ram installed atm (still on XP) so I think this will probably cure itself in the future when I upgrade. The SP campaign is fun although short.

And yes had problems logging on to MP on Sunday, another reason I have not been on much. I put this down to the time diff and Yanks logging on to. Hoping this will get better once the initial "latest greatest game" wears off.

Also Dice seem eager to patch things for the PC players - 2 already, one on day of release and another yesterday for servers, so just perhaps.......

Oh and link for sigs

it has an auto updater which I use as the launch exe anyway, means if there is a patch I never have to check myself.

Adding the game to steam it also selected the updater without me telling it do, not sure if it picked it up off the desktop or the actual folder though.

I get loads of on-screen glitches (squares and rectangles) when I play it, at all settings (low, medium, high).

I'm on latest ATI drivers, which are older than the game granted, just waiting on new ones.
