Found the problem ...... my new (last year) 500gig hard drive with my music and photos is dead !!!! Shocked Sad Crying or Very sad

I tried disconnecting all my drives one at a time and it's definitely a gonner.

The irony is that I stuck it in for the sole purpose of backing up all my stuff in case I lost a drive .......

Luckily, 95% of my music collection is still on the other drive, but it does mean I've lost a load of indie games and a few big games like Crysis Wars and will need to reinstall it.

Agh ! Bloody new drive won't get here until next Tuesday ! Evil or Very Mad

I still can't find the registry file that's stopping me re-install Crysis wars onto another drive either ....

When you buy stuff from E Buyer with the free postage they say it will send within 5 days, but usually it arrives in a day or 2.
Now they're saying that it will be delivered on a certain date i.e next Tuesday, which just happens to be 5 working days since I put the order in .... Rolling Eyes Still, it's a 1000gig drive, so will partition it for XP, use most of it for storage and then keep a partition ready for Win 7.

Changed that then, used to be 2-3 days. Will Win 7 recognise an XP partitioned drive?

Edit.

Didn't think so. Xp will recognise all the partitions, but win7 "probably" wont. I'll ask around for a definate answer.

Hmmm, that's a thought .... I'm not sure if it will. Damn, will have to look into that then. Laughing

On the bright side, I've found the registry file that was stopping me and deleted it. Just got a few more minutes for the patch to download and I'll be back up and running. Twisted Evil
